Hi all
The back on my bandit wheel spins when I first start up the bike, when its on the stand when the clutch is out.
Is it just the clutch cable that needs adjusting or is there more to it
cheers

sounds silly but is the chain adjucted properly?
also what oil are you using? as this also can cause clutch drag as well as slip, then it may be a case of adjusting the cable, it take it its a 600, as some 120o have hydraulic clutches

Hi
the chain is ok It think and Its just had an oil change (re oil change post)
its a 600
I'll try adjusting the cable and see where I get.
you only notice it when the bike is on the centre stand, you cant feel it when your on the bike
once the bike is warmed up it stops
cheers
Mike
you will find most bikes with a wet clutch do this its caused by oil causing the plates to stick slightly as long as it does not make the bike pull should not be problem

with the bike in neutral, the clutch is actually fully engaged and transmitting drive from the crank to the gearbox input shaft.....so.....the oil is causing drag between the input shaft and the gear sets, which is then transmitted to the output shaft, through the sprocket and chain to your rear wheel. the drag isnt a problem when the bike wheel is on the floor as the power transmitted is very very small.........
